The Recital
Manthan Samvaad 2018 happened on 2nd Oct 2018 at Shilpakala Vedika Hall in Hyderabad. It is a platform for the finest speakers. This time Manthan was privileged to host Mr Ahmed Rashid Shervani who recited select shlokas from Dil Ki Gita.
Dil Ki Gita is a translation of Bhagwad Gita into Urdu by Khwaja Dil Mohammad which was done in 1944 in Lahore.
Mr Shervani’s command over the subject and the text, and his commanding rendition, makes the recital extremely evocative.
This recital is rare and must be heard before it vanishes.
