Dr Senthil Rajappa is currently Head of Medical Oncology in Indo American Cancer Hospital and Associate Professor of Medical Oncology at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences. He holds an MD (Internal medicine) and Diplomates of the National Board (Internal Medicine) and DM (Medical Oncology) from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Rajiv Gandhi Health University.
His areas of interest include solid tumor oncology, personalized medicine and translational research. He has been awarded numerous Endowment prizes and Orations. Some of the awards include Best Teacher for the year 2013 by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Best Teacher in 2019 by the Diplomate of National Board, New Delhi, Award for Excellence in Oncology by the Indian Medical Association, Telangana State and The inspiring oncologist of 2020 by Economic Times. Dr. Senthil has published around 100 articles in indexed national and international journals as well as authored many text book chapters. He has been the principal investigator and the co-investigator in several national and international clinical trials and also a peer reviewer for several journals.
