THE TALK
In 2021 we’re in the afterglow of another Australia and India test series that enchanted us all. It marked 20 years since another great series – the iconic 2001 series in India. 2001 did lots of things for cricket, but in The Greatest Season That Was Podcast series we explored the events of the decade before 2001 – political, financial and on the field and how they changed the way two countries interacted with each other forever.
This Talk will go into the background of how Australia and India went from virtual strangers who went years without playing each other to the rivalry that arguably defines 21st century cricket. And how that 2001 series consummated everything that was building.
