He is a visiting Professor, Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, South Asian University,Delhi.He was the first Vice Chancellor of the University of Allahabad, after it regained central status. Currently, he is a full time Visiting Professor in the Department of International Relations, South AsianUniversity. Delhi. He is also the President of prestigious G B Pant Social Science Institute of Allahabad since May 2014. Before shifting over to the SAU, he was a Professor in the Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad.
