“How Business Institutions are Shaped “: – R Gopalakrishnan

What are business institutions? How are they shaped? How do such shapers differ from good CEOs of good companies?

These questions were the subject of an applied research project by a seasoned practitooner and five distinguished academics of Bhavan’s SPJIMR, Mumbai. Through 700 hours of desk research and interviews, a series of six books titled “Shapers of Business Institutions” has been published; this likely counts as a first among Indian companies—TCS, HDFC Group, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Marico and Biocon, all companies which came into prominence around the time of liberalization.

Mr Gopalakrishnan will speak about the essence of the Shapers’ Mind-set, Behavior and Actions.
