It’s Quiet but can you hear it? A dialogue on “Artivism”
The Talk
The intersections of art and activism. What can a film do?
We recognise peak events like electoral wins and policy changes, but not always the undercurrents that take us there. The world of art and culture helps construct the conditions that lead to these climaxes. This is a long game needing a long runway. Working on the cultural concepts & cues that sit at the intersections of issues and the heart of our individual and collective worldviews, Art/Film can make people dream of different realities to imagine what a more just- inclusive-sustainable world can be. Art’s ability to evoke emotions, spark self-reflection, and foster a sense of shared humanity can shift perspectives & build the momentum for change. Join us as we discover how.
