The Talk
Wars based on religion have become common. Rapid social transformations—driven by mass migration, fragmented family structures, closer interactions between diverse communities, economic instability, job insecurity, and the surge of social media are significantly elevating stress levels across the globe. In these uncertain times, people seek solace, security, and stability, often turning to religion and faith. However, a limited understanding of one’s religion and ignorance of others exacerbates the issue. This lack of awareness enables the manipulation of religion in politics, creating further societal friction, heightened stress, and, ultimately, violence. Addressing this requires a thoughtful exploration of what the world’s great religions truly teach. Inspired by the book The Essentials of World Religions, this talk seeks to illuminate these teachings, offering insights into how a deeper understanding of faith can help bridge divides and foster harmony.
