Written in collaboration with novelist and journalist Krupa Ge, Subrahmanyan’s book offers a rare, personal glimpse into his musical journey—tracing his evolution from an inquisitive student to one of the most influential voices in music today. Through candid anecdotes, reflections on tradition and modernity, and his foray into playback singing (and of course his love for Ilaiyaraja), he unpacks the inspirations, challenges, and philosophies that have shaped his artistry.

Sanjay Subrahmanyan is a singer based in Chennai. A Sangeetha Kalanidhi awardee, his latest album is Anbenum Peruveli which spans genres like blues and rock.
